Don’t forget!
46. Week of February 14
In the world’s coldness
I forget my oldness
My connection to my true home
Frozen and numb
Let memory shining bright
Illuminate my worldly sight
Keep me warm and flexible and strong
As I become.
I have been so sick. And the virus…weakened my heart….I was sick at heart…every day exhausted and all I could do was sleep.
Blasted by fever, so the opposite of what this verse describes…a frozen landscape, icy wasteland. Frozen heart.
My heart is healing. I am remembering who I am.
Don’t forget! Spring is coming. Don’t forget! Who you really are. Don’t forget! What you’ve learned here in the winter darkness. Stay connected to what you have learned in the dark, in the warmth, in the lightness.
People think that spring is all sweetness and buttercups. But being born is falling into icy heaviness, the sun rising on the windy snow.
A two chambered heart becomes four chambered, and everything seems severed. But there it is! the thin crack of light under the door.
Remember.
